Roll call was read, the topic was “Did you volunteer with the flood fight?” There was 9 members present, 13 members absent, and 9 guests. The treasurers report was read by Tina.
Old Business:
We talked about our March clinic and everyone said it was really fun. We also thanked Mary a bunch for setting it up for us.
New Business:
There was talk about our horse show. The Sheyenne Red River Rodeo club needs to change the date on the rodeo this year due to the flood and asked us if we would be willing to give them our weekend. Some options we had were changing the date to June 21st, keeping it on May 17th, or instead of having the show, just have three nights in the summer of open riding. Shannah motioned to change the date of our horseshow to June 21st and Bryce seconded.
People are needed out at the fairgrounds to help with the horses, cleaning up, and pulling panels out of the front arena. If you want to help you should contact Lucinda at the fairgrounds.
John Lyons is coming to Fleet Farm on May 4th and we decided that we would work the concessions again. We need to sign up for shifts at our next meeting. Lori says she will take care of condiments and may flyers that we can hang up that will advertise our horseshow.
Fruit pick-up is on April 8 @ 4:00. You are to pick up your fruit at the Scholander arena. Kathy, Ally, Sandy, and Cindy all said that they could be there.
The variety show and carnival which is normally held at Northern Cass was cancelled due to the flooding. The drawing for the raffle tickets will be done on April 13.
Our next meeting is on April 27th at 7:00 at the Sheyenne Center. Sarah moved to adjourn the meeting and Ally seconded. Skyler did a demo on fishing.
