April Secretary’s Report

The meeting was held at the RRVF on April 7, 2008. The meeting was called to order by Amanda. Roll Call Topic was ‘What is your favorite event in the horseshow?’ The secretary’s report was read by Shannah. Treasurer’s report was read by Ally. The pledges were said. Bryce led the American pledge and Amanda led the 4h pledge. New rule books went to each family present.

Old Business-

We talked about the horseshow. The show bill is completed. People were working on getting the word out and on press releases. Shannah and Michaela sorted ribbons and trophies. We got the committees straight. Cindy, Nicole, and Tina are on concessions. Shannah and Sammy are on arena. Shannah and Ally are going to announce. We were all suppose to bring ice and baked goods. Tina, Kendra, Jeff, Steve, Adam, and Greg were going to help work the gates. Cindy and Leslie were going to help out in the show ring. Shannah and Ally are going to help in the office. Karley is taking care of the door prizes. Heidi took care of the trail pattern. A reminder that you need coggins for the horse show. 

We talked about painting the arena and benches on a sunny and warm day. We need oil base paint, brushes, and rollers.

Leather craft project was enjoyed by everyone.

New Business-

Horse ID forms due May 15 with coggins. Fair registration is on due May 28.

The project activity day is on April 26, you have to register by April 11. 

On June 11^th is the project judging at the fair which starts at noon. June 22^nd is clean-up from 5:00-8:00.

We needed to show up at the next meeting early to prepare prizes, office stuff, and paperwork.
