August Report

Dates to Remember:
8/13/2008 - Triple C workout @ Fair grounds from 6-9  (Trail, Goat Tying, Games)
8/17/2008 - 4-H Books due
8/17/2008 - Achievement Days @ Fair grounds - starts @ 10:00 - Registration was due 8/04
8/18/2008 - Triple C 4-H Parent meeting - O'Kelly's - 7:00
9/06/2008 - Triple C Trail Ride @ Maplewood - Please let me know if you will be going - Meet @ 9:00 at Moorhead rest stop.

4-H Books
All 4-H Record books need to be turned into me (Kathy) on or before August 17th so Lori and I have time to get them ready for the 4-H office.  Don't forget to fill out the back pages!!

Member update:
Amanda Jacobson will be leaving for college at the end of this month - good luck Amanda!!
Alex Haines & Heidi Markman have decided not to join the Triple C club for next year.
Megan Metzger will be a new member in the Triple C club for next year.

If you know of anyone interested in joining the club, we do have a few openings.  Please have them contact me by August 20th.

September meeting:
The September meeting will be on the 15th at the Fair grounds.  This is because of Labor Day and Big Iron.  We will be voting for the 4 main officers and asking for volunteers for the rest of the 4-H positions.  The 4 main officers and their responsibilities are:

President - Conduct meetings; strong leader; responsible person; must set up agenda for the meetings and work with the other officers and parent coordinator on the agenda items.

Vice President - Back up to the president, secretary and treasurer (when needed).  Must be dependable, responsible and willing to take charge at a moments notice.  

Secretary - Excellent writing skills required.  Responsible for writing all secretary reports and getting them posted on the web site.  Also responsible for roll call and the members list.

Treasurer - Responsible, dependable, good money manager with a parent that is willing to help out.  Must be able to write checks, balance a check book and work with money.
