June Secretary Report
The last meeting was on June 6, 2009. It was held at the Sheyenne Ninth Grade Center and started at 7:00. The meeting was called to order by Ally. There were 9 members present, 12 members absent, and 10 guests. The secretary report was read by Kendra.
Old Business:
Our Triple C horse show is on June 21st. We signed up for jobs and committees. Everyone is to bring a pan of individually wrapped bars and cookies to the show. Everyone needs to be there ready to work at 8:00. Set up is on Thursday after we finish cleaning. People who bought pop for show are to bring it on Thursday.
For working the food stand for the John Lyons clinic at Fleet Farm we made $527.50. Karley, Tina, Sammy, Morgan, Ally, and Shannah all made over $40 dollars off of the fruit sales.
New Business:
MEGA ride pass must be purchased by June 12th for $50. The MEGA ride pass gives you free gate admission, grandstand admission, and rides.
On June 16th and June 18th we are cleaning the arena. Everyone needs to sign up. We are going to be there from 6-9 both nights. We will also be using Thursday to set up for our horseshow. Bring mops, shovels, hoses, and heavy duty rakes. Shannah, Ally, and Kayleigh are bring power washers.
On June 19th the RRVF registration is due. This includes the horse show AND static exhibits. You must register for the stall decoration contest LOT #1490.
On July 8th is the judging of 4H exhibits from noon to 6:00. Triple C is scheduled to go at 2:30. 4H fair passes can also be purchased in the Hartle building on this day. $10 for 4H exhibitor and $15 for parent.
July 14th is a free 4H horse clinic at the RRVF grounds from 8:00 to 5:00. See 4H website for details.
July 15th/16th is the RRVF horse show. July 15th is the horse show picnic from 6:00 to 7:30.
On July 17th the club must work at the 4H food stand from 10:30 to 2:00. We will sign up at the July meeting for workers.
July 19th the static exhibits will be released from 5-8 PM.
Ally, Plehal’s, and Foss’s need to get together and figure out State fair decorations.
Consumer Choice judging needs to be registered by June 18th, the event is on the 23rd.
Ally adjourned, Kendra seconded. The next meeting is on July 6th at 7:00 with the place still to be determined. Lucas gave a demo on planting a flower, Megan gave a demo on Tye dying, and Thomas gave a demo on How to catch a bug.
