Old Business:
The carnival is on March 29, 2009 and is held at Northern Cass School from 2:00 to 5:00. Skyler, Casey, Karley, Ally, Shannah, Bryce, Kayli, Brea, Tessa, and Felicity said they would be willing to be in the variety show play. Sarah, Tina, and Sammy said they would be willing to help out. We have to set-up our booth at 2:00. Cindy and Tina said they would set up. Casey, Skyler, Karley, Sarah, Tina, Sammy, Shannah, Morgan, Felicity, Kayli, and Brea are willing to work in shifts. We decided on stuffed animals, candy, and pop for our prizes which Cindy and Tina are going to pick up. Cindy volunteered to pick up three bingo prizes worth $5 to $10 each. Each family must bring a cake or pie for the cake walk.
Our clinic is on March 7th and 8th starting at 9:00 am. Everyone participating in the clinic was to pay a $10 fee at this meeting to help pay for the extra arena time. Wendy said she would bring BBQ’s on Saturday, Jeff was bringing buns. On Sunday Kathy was bringing buns and chips, and everyone was to bring about one dozen snacks. Everyone was to also bring their own drinks. If you want to keep your horse at NDSU, you need to give Mary $20 for each horse, which includes a bag of shavings also.
All the fruit sales needed to be turned by the March meeting.
New Business:
For our club horseshow we talked about splitting the high point awards between pleasure and games. Sammy motioned we keep it the same with one overall highpoint for each division, Karley seconded. Lori was wondering if we should get the same judge as last year and it was discussed.
John Lyons is going to be at Fleet Farm on May 4th, from 5:00-8:00 and we were asked to work. We decided to change our need meeting so we could attend this event. So our next meeting is on April 27th, at the Sheyenne Ninth Grade Center.
We were asked if we would want to sponsor prizes for the stall decorating contest at the fair this year. We decided we would have an Educational and creative theme. First place will get twenty dollars and second place will get ten dollars in each group. Shannah motioned for this to follow through and Tina seconded. At the fair there is also a clinic on the day before the 4H show starts for 4H kids to come in for open riding and practice. It is free for Cass County 4h members and you must wear helmets. Breanne motioned to adjourn and Shannah seconded.
